YPS Soroako is a school funded by PT INCO. It was founded in 1982 as one of the facilities provided for the INCO’s employees.

As a general high school YPS Soroako graduates are expected to continue their education to a higher level such as universities or other institutions. Natural sciences and Social studies are two major choices for students with emphasizing the English language for both departments.

YPS Soroako prepares its students to be an independent graduate who is smart, religious and having morality through the national curriculum established by the National Education Department.

During study period students from all grades in YPS Soroako move from one classroom to another one according to the subject they are going to learn.

Extra-curricular activities are conducted every day after school hours from 15.00-16.00. The objective of these activities is as a place for students to develop their talents and creativity.
