Saturday December 20, 2008 – 4.30pm was the first day for IBU Foundation site office Meulaboh in conducting Children Health Education Theatre. The Children Health Theatre is one of IBU approaches in doing health promotion to the community. In Meulaboh the theatre is used as media for campaign our Posyandu and immunization program, and the issue is immunization with Polio as an example disease.

CRS (Catholic Relief Services) and Ibu Foundation has agreed to form a DRR (disaster risk reduction) team in Ibu that works in assisting vulnerable community on DRR issues as well as providing emergency support to disaster affected community in West Java.As a response to landslide in Cianjur, CRS commits to provide three kinds (sarung, blanket, and tent) of non-food item supply. Downpour of Saturday night, November 15, 2008 worsen the situation for the community already displaced by the landslide and flood took place on Thursday in south Cianjur, West Java. It also created another landslide at three other sub districts, with no reported casualties other than destroyed houses and paddy fields.
Heavy rain in Thursday night has resulted in flood and landslide at two sub districts in southern part of Cianjur, West Java. Rescue posts has been set up by local government in coordination with PMI. SAR team and TNI facilitated evacuation of survivals. TNI also sent medical personnel and set up health posts. Tents are provided by Dinas Sosial. All donations were concentrated at Cibokor village office, 20 m from the junior high school functioned as IDP camp with the highest number of IDPs.
Thursday, 13th November 2008 around 22.00 pm, Heavy rain has hit South of Cianjur resulting flooding in Cikondang river, the heavy rain cause some of village in Campaka and Cibeber area flooded. The heavy rain also resulted Landslide which also affected villages especially in Nyalindung, Girimukti Village, Campaka.Total 5 people reported dead, 10 missing, and 330 HH/1290 Displaced, IDPs are gathering in Balai Desa with minimum protection.Access to some village are blocked due to flooding and broken bridges, Response were carried out by local governmentand local PMI, No Medical Personnel available in the field.
After the Project socialization workshop, on the last week of August 2008 IBU arranged the Posyandu monthly escorting preparation such us set up monthly regular villages Posyandu venue and Schedule and IBU Posyandu escorting work plan. Started with supplementary food for posyandu distribution IBU arrange September 2008 posyandu regular activities.Up until this update sep 2008 , villages that conducted posyandu are 24 of 27 village targeted .
