عندما و صل الرسول(ص) إلى المدينة، كان اول ما قام به هو بناء مسجد قباء تأكيداً على اهميته.

منذ 1500 سنة، حين كان الأسلام فى أوج قوته، كانت المساجد مبانى متواضعة و لكنها قدمت الكثير للأسلام و للمسلمين. و قد وحدت المساجد المسلمين و نقت انفسهم و احيت قلوبهم و اظهرت قوتهم و تماسكهم. و انبعث الصدق من المساجد مانعاً الأثم و مشجع على الصدقة.

و تذكروا كيف كانت المساجد ملتقى الناس ايام النصر مع صلاح الدين. و تزكروا المسلمين العظماء حين كان يخرج المسلمون من المساجد بعد كل صلاة ليعموا الأرض باحثين عن الرزق و ذاكرين الله كثيراً. تذكروا اين نمت بذور الحضارة الأسلامية و تجلت.

اليوم ترى ملاين المساجد، اجمل و اكبر و اكثر رفاهية، و لكنها اصبحت مجرد قاعات صلاة خالية. لماذا شلت المساجد اليوم و اصبحت لا تستخدم حتى للغرض الأساسى لبنائها الا و هو الصلاة فيها؟

و ها هو شهر رمضان الكريم قد اقبل علينا بعد طول انتظار،لم يبق بيننا وبينه إلا القليل. فهلا احيينا مساجد الله عسى الله ان يبلغنا رمضان؟

(فِي بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ ٱللَّهُ أَن تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا ٱسْمُهُ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ فِيهَا بِٱلْغُدُوِّ وَٱلآصَالِ * رِجَالٌ لاَّ تُلْهِيهِمْ تِجَارَةٌ وَلاَ بَيْعٌ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَإِقَامِ ٱلصَّلاَةِ وَإِيتَآءِ ٱلزَّكَـاةِ يَخَافُونَ يَوْماً تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيهِ ٱلْقُلُوبُ وَٱلأَبْصَارُ * لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا عَمِلُواْ وَيَزِيدَهُمْ مِّن فَضْلِهِ وَٱللَّهُ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ)
النور:36 - 38



When the Prophet (PBUH) arrived in Madinah, the first thing he did was building the Mosque of Quiba', highlighting its importance.

1500 years ago, at a time when Islam was at the height of its strength, Mosques were humble buildings but offered much for Islam and for the Muslims. The Mosques united the Muslims. It refined our souls and awakened their hearts and showed their strength and cohesiveness. Truth emanated from the Mosques - forbidding evil and promoting benevolence.

Remember how the Mosques were the gathering place of people at days of Salahu 'Al Deen. Remember when the great Muslims that came out of the Mosques, rushing to fill the earth seeking the boon of Allah and praising Him. Remember where the seeds of Islamic civilization grew and developed.


Today, you see millions of Mosques, more beautiful, larger, and more luxurious, but have they been reduced to mere empty prayer halls. Why have they been crippled and not playing even their main purpose today and that is praying in it?

And there the Generous Month of Ramadan has approached us after a long wait, and not much time is now between us. So would we Revive the Mosques of Allah that perhaps Allah would let us reach Ramadan?

In houses which Allah hath allowed to be exalted and that His name shall be remembered therein. Therein do offer praise to Him at morn and evening.

Men whom neither merchandise nor sale beguileth from remembrance of Allah and constancy in prayer and paying to the poor their due; who fear a day when hearts and eyeballs will be overturned;

That Allah may reward them with the best of what they did, and increase reward for them of His bounty. Allah giveth blessings without stint to whom He will.
